Shed Roof Felt Nails

The roofing felt is meant to be put down first and then covered with a layer of shingles or rolled roofing as the felt will not hold up to the weather on its own.

Space each nail apart by about 30 to 36 inches 76 to 91 cm along the side of the felt closest to the roof s peak and 12 inch 30 5 cm along the side closest to the ground. Remove any debris get rid of any nails or other structures poking through the top of the roof and make sure that the surface is completely dry and clean.
